Ladies

Sevenoaks Ladies have 7 senior sides playing on a Saturday at all levels of hockey ranging from the National League Conference East to Kent Division 5. We are a very well organised, professional ladies section, yet we are also a friendly and sociable bunch!

All of the ladies teams work within a clear structure of management, selection and coaching, overseen by the Chair of the Ladies section, Fran Walton.

All teams have dedicated, qualified coaches and benefit from playing the same system of play, directed by Sue Chandler (a former Sevenoaks junior, Great Britain Captain and a level 3 Coach for the last 6 years) All Saturday goalkeepers have access to a specialist GK coaching on training nights. The 1st and 2nd XI’s have regular access to video analysis for both individual and team development, and are accompanied on match days by both a Coach and Manager.

Ladies 1st XI play in the National League Conference East. In the season 2010/2011 we narrowly missed out on promotion in the Premier league play-offs, having won the Conference East league.

Ladies 2nd XI will play in the East Premier Division in the coming season, the top league that a Club 2nd XI is allowed to play in.

Ladies 3rd XI  are in East Divsion 1S this season having won East 2SE last season.

Ladies 4th XI  are in East Divsion 2SE this season.

There is no other club in the Country that can boast 4 teams playing Regional hockey or above.

Ladies Acorns  - our development side, plays in Kent Division 1.

Ladies 5th XI play in  Kent Division 3 and the newly formed 

Ladies 6th XI in Kent Division 5.

We also play in the National Indoor League, and Indoor is clearly integrated into the overall ladies section plan.

The range of hockey available at Sevenoaks means that a player of any ability can be accommodated within a clear structure that will match their current ability and aspirations.

TRAINING DETAILS:

1st and 2nd's:- Wednesday Nights 7:30 - 9:30pm at Hollybush Lane (3 coaches)

Club Training:- Tuesday Nights 8:00 - 9:30pm at Hollybush Lane (3 coaches)

Juniors train on Sunday mornings and we have league matches for U14, U16 and U18 girls and also training and matches for U8, U10 and U12. For further details go to the Junior page.

How to join our Club

New members are always welcome whatever your playing level from beginner to international.   Simply contact one of our team captains by coming along to trials or one of our regular general training sessions (Men’s or Ladies’) or by emailing direct with details of your playing experience – even if you are a beginner!  This will help us to assign you to an appropriate starting team.  Your new team captain can also help you to complete and submit the membership application form which you can find here.
