The Acorns as a team would also like to add to this report a special 'Thank you' to their captain Ali Hay, too modest to mention himself in the report. A fantastic captain who truly leads by example and really is an inspiration to every young Acorn playing. A worthy recipient for his club colours. We also wish him every success as he continues to represent Scotland in the 2012 Vets team.
'Thank you' captain ALI HAY from all the Acorns.

The SHC Acorns development team finished their 2010/11 season just as they had started it with another convincing victory. There has been some outstanding play by the young Acorns this season in their transition from junior to senior hockey, led and mentored by their captain Ali Hay and his fellow seniors Martin Hickman, Charlie Oakes, Steve Nicholls and Peter Richardson. With thanks also to members of the 2nd and 4th XI for their additional coaching support. Next season many of the youngsters will be taking another step within the club as they move on to higher teams and we wish them every success. We look forward with excitement to the next pool of talented young juniors who will be joining the Acorns next season. With huge thanks to all the family and friends who have turned out week after week whatever the weather to support us. Until next season........................with thanks to you all Emma Ford
